An LPN as the Begining of a Career
2008-05-07 02:09Many nurses who are at the top of their careers started out as LPNs. This of course makes those who are interested in pursuing an LPN to think whether they want to become an LPN as a first step in a career or do they just want to stay an LPN. The answer to this question really makes a difference in picking an LPN program.
The reason is that when you are intersted in going into a higher level of nursing, let's say you want to become a Registered Nurse (RN) after becoming an LPN, this would mean you would get exemptions from some of the course work needed to become an RN. So, the LPN program that you take should really teach the basics very well rather than just teaching how to ace the NCLEX-PN. So, pick carefully...
